DSC Open Day, 13 May - Experience the Thrill of Sailing

Would you like to try your hand at sailing and experience the thrill of racing a high-speed catamaran? The Dee Sailing Club is holding an Open Day event in which you can try the sport for free.

The club uses the Dee Estuary for racing every Sunday and is based on the cliffs at Thurstaston. We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic new members - no experience is necessary to join the club and families are welcome.

We offer both casual cruising and a full race programme. We run a youth programme, training our youngest sailors (five years upwards) in Optimists and teenagers in Dart 16 catamarans. Visitors to the Open Day can experience sailing in a variety of boats including family monohulls and high-performance catamarans.

The Open Day will be held on Saturday, 13 May, at the Dee Sailing Club, Station Road , Thurstaston. Sailing will take place from 10am to 2pm followed by a BBQ at the club. To register, call Mike Johnson on 0151 609 0778 e-mail rearcomsailing@dee-sc.co.uk

Further information on getting into sailing at the Dee SC is given here.
