Informal Practice Day - Saturday 3 September from 10:00
This is the big one - who can claim the Championship for 2005: Just who are the coolest cats in the club? And the Dee dinghy dynamo?
The DSC Club Championship is the time to find out: all the cats will sail the same course, at the same time, off the same start. Three races of varying format are planned, to give all designs a fair crack:
- Windward Leeward, multiple laps of fast & furious action round the cans
- Triangle, with more emphasis on even faster Reaching
- Long Distance, within the Estuary
We have opted for one day to encourage the maximum entries on the day - and are expecting over 20 Cats to enter from the combined fleets. There is no entry fee - but there is a prize for the DSC member helming the highest placed catamaran on handicap: The Dee Estuary Long Distance Trophy will be presented at the Annual Prizegiving in December.
The event is open to non members. No fees, but sorry, no prizes. Just join in for the fun!
Dinghies will have their own start and possibly their own courses.
There will be informal practice on Saturday for those who want to loosen up rusty joints after the holiday season (note: safety cover will be in place).
