Join the Clipper Race

The buzz and excitement at the start of a major event is epic. The thrill, the tension and the overwhelming sense of occasion witnessing the moment drawing near as weeks, months and years of preparation, countless person hours of work and oodles of dosh culminate in this one start.  Ten 68ft Clippers bend every sail to explode forth on a 12 month adventure on the high seas. Imagine being in it, on the water almost part of the race itself. There are 3 pairs of places left to be a guest aboard LYC yachts to witness the start of the 2005 Round the World Clipper Race on Sunday 18 September.

You and a friend or partner will 'Lock Out' from Liverpool Marina aboard one of Liverpool Yacht Clubs members boats between 08:30 and 09:30 onto the River Mersey and be in the action to cheer the DSC's chosen team on Durban, skippered by Craig Millar, over the Start line. Bids over £5.00 are still being taken for this unique opportunity, all proceeds to the DSC boat shed project.

Contact your Rear Com (Social) on 0151 670 0320 as soon as possible.
