BBQ in honour of Durban

Each of the Wirral sailing clubs has sponsored an entry in the round the world Clipper Race. Our team, Durban, is currently holding on to second spot. Having fought their way through the Doldrums, and into the Southern Ocean and having dealt with keels falling off (or threatening to...) and a final race into Liverpool and prize-giving tomorrow (Saturday), let's make the whole thing a truly memorable 'experience of a lifetime' for the Durban sailors with a DSC Party! We might be used to these parties and take them within our stride, but remember that the Durban crew are not. Come along and become part of their dream...

We will also be 'raising the bar' with a thrilling display of our Cat (and Mono) Racing, to really enthuse these trans-global half-boaters and to give them something to remember their adventure by, not to mention a goal to aim for throughout the remainder of their lives.

The BBQ will start at 11:00 on Sunday, and finish... Lord knows when. The sailing display (i.e. club racing) starts at 13:50.

Simon
