DSC Club Championships 2006

Sunday 8 October - BRIEFING at 9:30, Start at 10:50

Informal Practice Day - Saturday 7 October from 10:00

Can anyone beat James over three races to claim the Catamaran Championship for 2006? Will we crown an innaugral Dinghy Champion this year?

The DSC Club Championship is the time to find out who is the quickest amongst us. All the cats will sail the same course, at the same time, off the same start. Dinghies will have their own starts and possibly their own courses. Three races of varying format are planned, to give all designs a fair crack:

We have opted for one day to encourage the maximum entries on the day - and would hope to see 20 Cats enter from the combined fleets. There is no entry fee - but there is a prize for the DSC member helming the highest placed catamaran on handicap: The Dee Estuary Long Distance Trophy will be presented at the Annual Prizegiving in December.

A briefing will be held at 9:30. If you choose to miss it, make sure you have read the sailing instructions and are ready to start on time.

The event is open to non members. No fees, but sorry, no prizes. Just join in for the fun!

There will be informal practice on Saturday 7 Oct for those who want to remind themselves what their boat looks like or where to find the club buoys (Hint.. some have moved).
