Fast Cat News

Looking at the website these days you'd be forgiven for thinking that everyone has jumped off their cats and bought (or borrowed) a dinghy. Or maybe two - there seem to be a lot of them about. However, growth is not restricted to the monhulls. Following the departure of Rob Lucking's Dart 16 to the west coast of Ireland, and a quick bit of trading in the boat park, we now have yet another Fast Cat team in the form of Rob Lucking and Deelerium. Yes, Ali has reduced his fleet to a mere two cats, a dinghy (yes, him as well) and a yacht.

It's going to be 'exciting times' for Rob as he adapts to the power of the F18 after his Dart - but he'll get plenty of help and support from the fleet, and has already had a go on a Spitfire to get the feel of things.

Ali has promised to make an appearance on his (possibly upgraded) Inter 17 as well, in which case with a co-ordinated effort we could expect to put eight spinniker boats out together. That will be a sight worth seeing!

Meantime, Richard is recovering - well, at least he is on two legs, which makes a change... He still has a little way to go, as I gather that while he can stand on both legs, he can't necessarily bend both of them yet.

I gather that Mark Shepherd is doing well as stand-in crew, so no excuses please! If you're short of hands, give him a call.

Cheers,
Simon
