Correction - 'Youth Team' Win Dee SC Regatta

It was too much to believe that we'd beaten the up and coming talents of Michael Moruzzi and Cameron Douglas despite capsizing in the first race - obviously the Race Committee didn't believe it either: on checking the results they discovered that in our fleet (Handicap Cats), and the Medium Handicap Dinghies, the handicaps had been overlooked. After recalculating the corrected times, Michael and Cameron were declared overall winners, having won the first race, and coming third in the second. White Tiger scored two seconds, and hence had equal points, but their 'first' clinched it for the boys - A sincere 'well done' to you.

And as a final thought, bear in mind that today's conditions were pretty demanding: gusting up to 23 knots, which is quite a handful in a reaching race! How demanding? Well, the following teams retired during or after the first race: Wild Cat, Carpe Dee Em, Klingon 2 and Swallow - none of whom are normally put off by a bit of breeze!

Oh, and Michael, I owe you a fiver...
