Oppie News From National Championships

Some news from James:

On the Oppie front just to report that at the recent Oppie National Champs at Weymouth we had following entries out of 380 competitors, Cameron D, Michael M, Alex D, James H, Katie M, Eleanor H.
Cam was 22nd and Mike 32nd in Senior fleet, James 72nd and Alex 85th in the junior fleet.

Winds were less than 10 knots all week week perfect for the regatta fleet. There were competitors from USA, UAE, Germany, Holland, Spain, Czech Rep, Ireland, Sweden and Hong Kong. This event was the largest one design dinghy regatta ever in the UK.

Katie competed in the regatta fleet racing this year with distinction (79th) and Eleanor got her first taste of the nationals.

Even Gordon Brown was even a visitor on Friday along with Seb Coe, having a look at the 2012 Olympic venue.
