CREW REGISTER

If you're a helm without a crew, refer to the Crew Register for people who want to sail with us.

If you'd like to crew (i.e. sail with us) but don't know a helm (i.e. someone with a boat), please contact the web editor and we'll add you to the Crew Register.

Perhaps you need to see us first - just come to the club (Directions) within a few hours of the published Start times, or on Wednesday evenings.

You can be even more proactive if you are really keen and know what you'd like to sail:

Catamarans
Get in touch with the Dart 18 fleet captain James Douglas or Fast Cat fleet captain Simon Stannard .

Crews and Helms Wanted

Other Fleets
Some boats only have one hull but that doesn't mean you can't share it. Some even have room for beer and picnics. If you'd like to find out about crewing on any of the monohulls, contact the relevant fleet captain, shown on the Fleets page. Same applies if you have a boat that merely needs someone with whom you can share it.

Crews, Helms and Beer Wanted

Novices
If you are a complete beginner of any age, with a desire to get wet and have some fun, but don't know what you want to sail - or better still, aren't fussy - take a look at the Fleets page to make your choice, or just drop in.

FOR SALE

Nothing advertised just now - keep checking or send in a wanted ad!

If you can't find what you are looking for, suggested places to search would be www.catamaran.co.uk and local sailing clubs. Bala SC often has several older cats for sale that would appear to suit newcomers to Fast Cats especially.

Take a look at http://www.balacatamaranclub.org.uk/sale___wanted.htm for Bala's For Sale page.

www.Catamaran.co.uk

A useful website for finding secondhand cats and equipment is www.catamaran.co.uk. There are usually boats from under a grand up to as much as you like. Suggested categories for older boats suited to newcomers would include Darts 15, 16 & 18, Hobie, Nacra/Prindle, F18s, Hurricane, etc. If you're looking for something a little newer (and more expensive!) you could add Spitfires which are now coming into more acceptable second hand pricing.
