Ahead of our annual regatta weekend on the 14th and 15th July, please find below the NORs for both days:
This years Commodores Cruise on Saturday 23rd June is coming up fast! It’s one of the best events of the year, when we blast out of the estuary on the morning tide to Hilbre Island and wait patiently for the sand bank to magically appear, spend the day relaxing with our friends from Hoylake & West Kirby S.C.s and intermittently sailing around on beautiful flat water, before sailing back to Dee in the evening on the flooding tide.
Details this year are as follows:
- Leave the beach at Dee no later than 09:30
- The bar will be coming out, don’t forget cash
- Some BBQ’s will be set up, bring food to cook
- And don’t forget to bring a supply of water, snacks and suncream
As well as sailing out, members and friends can walk out to the other side of Hilbre to get picked up by a RIB, but you must have a buoyancy aid. Either arrange this with someone who you know will be out there or email me on email@example.com a few days before.
Fingers crossed for the weather!!
We hope all the visitors who attended our Open Day had as much fun as we did!
The weather couldn’t have been better, perfect for a blast around the estuary on one of the Darts, Cruisers or RIBs, followed by a well earned drink and burger on the lawn.
If any one would like to have another go, then we have a follow up session planned for Saturday 2nd June. Please let Roy know if you plan to come on firstname.lastname@example.org

As you will see the Sailing Committee have put together a full program of racing, that also includes cruiser dates for the first half of the year.
The program largely follows last years, with the normal Races scheduled opposite the club, trips to the Hoyle Bank for the Commodores Cruise and Low Water Racing. We are also hosting a Mirror Northern Traveller event.
This year there will also be evening sailing sessions mostly on a Wednesday when the bar is open & some Saturdays as well. The Cruiser Fleet have also planed a number of trips that will include a week of sailing around the Solstice in June.
A big focus for the club this year will be the hosting of the Dart 18 Nationals over the August Bank Holiday, this will be the second time we have run this prestigious event and planning is well under way.
To kick the racing program off, the Spring Series starts next month with a Sailing and Rescue Open Day scheduled for the 1st April.
Dates of the first 4 weeks of sailing are below:
- 12th March – Spring 1,2,3
- 19th March – Spring 4,5,6
- 26th March – Spring 7,8,9
- 1st April – Dee SC Open day
Can’t wait for it all to get going!!
