A quick post to keep everyone updated on what’s going on at the club & on the water.
Netley Dart 18 TT:
Three Dee teams (Simon & Hayley, Will & Lucy and Geoff & Jenny) travelled to the south coast last weekend to compete in the second Dart Open of the season.
We are still awaiting the final results, but after day one Simon was in 3rd place and Will had won one of the races; which in a fleet of over 40 boats is a fantastic effort.
On Saturday we had a flotilla of dinghies make the voyage to Sheldrakes in search of adventure and refreshments, and much fun was had by all!
So much so, we have all been inspired to reinvigorate the Mirror fleet and are planning more trips, with Sea Trails already planned for 28th May.
So anyone with a Mirror lying around and interested in joining, us you have a month to get it sea worthy!!!
Join the Mirror Mayhem Facebook page for more info.
Spring Series 4 & 5:
On Sunday we had a mix of Fast Cats and Darts take to the water for the first ‘series’ racing of the season.
Conditions were very lively, building to a force 5 gusting 6 at times, but we still managed to complete 2 races, with James and Alison winning the Dart 18 races and Steve Roberts winning in the handicap race.
