Last Saturday, those that braved the last days of March were rewarded with an awesome afternoon on the lake. It was great to see 8 sailors supported by another 7 on the shore, out in 2 Oppies, 2 Toppers and a very smart Bermuda rigged Mirror!
This weekend there’s non stop fun all the way.
On Saturday we head to the club for sailing on the river starting at 1420. With high tide at 1541 and perfect gentle conditions forecast this will be a great afternoon that will lead into some competitive racing for those that fancy it. This includes both the first junior and mirror races of the the year so no excuse for any member not to be there!
On Sunday, the Wombaff returns to the lake at 1030. For those not familiar, this is single handed team racing for anyone who can sail a dinghy and is great friendly fun (with a sprinkling of rivalry and competition thrown in !). If you’re not sure about sailing, it’s good fun to come and watch (and laugh at me) too.
